Sachin, Dada, VVS to interview Kumble for one more time

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the post India's head coach as the term of current Coach Anil Kumble will end in June after the Champions Trophy 2017 which will start in England from June 01.

Interested candidates will have to apply for the job on or before May 31. However, India's current coach Anil Kumble would be a Direct Entry for the Process, the BCCI has clarified.

The Cricket Advisory Committee [CAC], comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, will conduct interviews and seek presentations from the applicants. The same committee was also responsible for the appointment of Anil Kumble last year in June.

India Team captain Virat Kohli has responded on the process of picking up the head coach. And he feels nothing wrong in the process being followed as the board is following it for years.

"The process has been followed every single time similarly in Indian cricket for the past so many years is what I know," said Virat Kohli.

"Even the last time the post was up for a change, the same procedure was applied. With the term being one year, the procedure is being followed in the same manner. I don't see anything very different from what has happened in the past. That is something the board has recognised. They want to follow the same pattern," added Kohli.
