Google is rolling out a new feature for its customers which helps them find employment related news nearer to their location.

This feature is available from Tuesday (June 20) to all its users on both desktop and mobile in US. However, this is available only in English language at the moment.

Google will also show employer ratings from current and former workers, as well as typical commute times to job locations. Google for Jobs will further let job seekers filter job openings based on category, date posted, and full-time or part-time employment, and other options.

First announced at Google I/O 2017 in May, the Google for Jobs feature will be initially limited to the US market. There's no word as to when the feature will be rolled out to other markets.

"For many people, a job needs to satisfy some key criteria, like commute time, job specialties they’ve honed or the hours they have available to work," Google said in its blog post.

"For many jobs, you’ll also see reviews and ratings of the employer from trusted sites, right alongside the job description, and if you’re signed in, for some jobs you’ll even see how long it would take to commute to the job from home."

"We’ll continue to add additional filters and information in the future. Looking for jobs is a personal and complex journey, and one that we’re trying to support in this new search experience."
