South Africa have released their middle order batsman JP Duminy from their Test squad for the rest of the series against England. Duminy has scored just 211 runs in his last 8 innings averaging 17.28 with a best score of just 39.

He was earlier dropped from the second Test after having scores of 15 & 2 in the first Test. And he will now take no part in the 3rd and 4th Tests as well.

"He's possibly been given a longer run because you know what he presents and how he helps out with the team away from the runs. He's been the first to acknowledge that his performances have not stacked up - certainly not what we need from a No. 4 batsman," Faf du Plessis said while announcing Duminy's axing before the second Test.

Kagiso Rabada who served his one match suspension after breaching ICC code of conduct will join South African team for the 3rd Test at The Oval. This will be a timely boost for the visitors after levelling the series 1 - 1 at Trent Bridge.

The third Test between England and South Africa will be played at The Oval in London from Thursday (July 27), before travelling to Manchester for the fourth and final Test from August 04.
