Back spasms rule out Lakmal from the Colombo Test

In what can be termed as a big blow to Sri Lanka, their pace bowler Suranga Lakmal has been ruled out of the second Test match against India. He is out due to back spasms.

Asela Gunaratne was already ruled out of the series due to the thumb fracture.
Rangana Herath too did not bat in the second innings in the first Test after hurting his finger while fielding.

Dinesh Chandimal's addition to the squad has come as a real good news for the hosts amid all the injury concerns around the team.

The second Test of this 3-match series will be played at SSC, Colombo from Thursday (Aug 03). Having won the first Test by 304 runs, India are now leading the series by 1 - 0.
