Sri Lanka Cricket have announced their Squad for the second Test against India which is to be played from the Thursday (3rd to 7th August) at the SSC, Colombo.

Hosts have recalled Lahiru Thirimanne in the place of injured Asela Gunaratne. He is all set to play a Test for Sri Lanka in over 13 months.


Sri Lanka have also added Lakshan Sandakan to strengthen their spin department in the second Test. With Suranga Lakmal ruled out and Lahiru Kumara is not so effective with the ball, hosts might think of a 3-spinner attack in the SSC Test!

The second Test will also see the return of thier newly announced captain Dinesh Chandimal, who had missed the Galle Test due to pneumonia.
