Dan will replace Brendon McCullum, who was ruled out of the tournament with an injured arm while playing for the franchise against Barbados Tridents, on Saturday (Sep 02).
"Losing an iconic figure like Brendon to injury is clearly a massive loss to the team, but in Daniel we have a proven match-winner who has just led a side to a T20 title in England. We hope that he can make it two trophies in two weeks with us in Trinidad," Simon Katich, Trinbago's head coach said.
Baz was hit on his left arm by Tridents pacer Wayne Parnell when batting on 26. The opening batsman also retired hurt after suffering the blow and was taken to the hospital where x-rays revealed that he had fractured his arm.
Trinbago have already qualified for this season's playoffs and will take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Qualifier 1 on Wednesday (Sep 06).
