David Warner created history in BengaluruAustralian opener has created history in the 4th ODI today in Bengaluru with the bat as he became the first Australian to score an 100 in the 100th ODI match.

Bengaluru ODI Warner's 100th ODI for Australia, and he became only the 8th batsman overall to score a ton in their 100th ODI.


The other seven batsmen to make this milestone are G Greenidge (WI), Chris Cairns (NZ), Mohd Yousuf (Pak), Kumar Sangakkara (SL), Chris Gayle (WI), Marcus Trescothick (Eng), Ramnaresh Sarwan (WI).

Warner is also now second in the list of 'most number of runs after 100 ODIs'. He is just behind Hashim Amla, who had 4808 runs, he is ahead of the likes of Kohli, Greenidge and Viv Richards though.

Coming in to the Bengaluru ODI, Warner was out of form with scores of 18, 40*, 21, 25, 1 & 42 in his last 6 ODI innings. He was yet to post a 50-plus score, his longest streak since going 8 innings without a fifty all the way back between 2012 & 2013.
