Sri Lanka have announced their squad for the 5-match ODI series against Pakistan which starts from October 13.Lasith Malinga is dropped from the ODI side due to his poor form and opener Danushka Gunathilaka is not considered as he is suspended by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for 6 matches.
Angelo Mathews who is yet to recorver from the calf and hamstring injuries is also not considered.
"Angelo is struggling. We thought he will be okay for the ODIs, but on Monday while running he felt the pain again and has been ruled out. It's a massive loss for us" : Sri Lanka Cricket.
Dinesh Chandimal finally able to find himself in the ODI squad after being dropped for the India series earlier.
Dhammika Prasad who is away from Cricket for 2 years is given an extended break and is not considered for this series.
