"A season to forget" : Virat Kohli

Captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Virat Kohli, has said that the franchise have already identified the players they would like to retain for the next Indian Premier League.

RCB finished their disappointing IPL 2017 campaign with a consolation win over Delhi Daredevils after failing to win in their previous 7 games.

Their performance in this season came as a massive blow not just to the franchisr but also to the fans, especially considering how well they had done last year, to reach the final, where they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad narrowly.

Speaking after the match, Kohli said the the season was one to forget for the beleaguered team and that they will take the break to start fresh as a franchise.

"It has been a season to forget and reflect on. We have to start fresh as a franchise. Maybe a blessing in disguise. Depends on how many players we can retain," said Virat Kohli

"But we do have guys who we have identified. Some guys who have showed right kind of attitude and the mindset to go out there and perform under pressure situations," added RCB captain.
