England former player Graeme Swann will ring the 5-minute bell to signify the start of Play on Day 2 at Lord's.

Swann has played in 60 Tests, 79 One-Day Internationals and 39 T20 Internationals for England and is seventh all-time wicket taker for England.

In March 2010, he became the first English off-spinner since Jim Laker to take ten wickets in a match. Swann won the Ashes three times with England and also helped his country to win the World Twenty20 in the West Indies in 2010.

The ringing of the five-minute bell at a Lord’s major match by an international cricketer, administrator or well-known enthusiast of the sport is a recent tradition introduced in 2007.

The bell, which is located outside the Bowlers’ Bar of the Lord’s Pavilion, is rung to signify the imminent start of play, and it has become a great honour to be invited to ring it on the morning of a match.
